Bigger Government. Higher Taxes.
Scott Houldieson founded the local chapter of the Progressive Democrats of America—a SOCIALIST aligned activist group.1
Now, he is fighting for socialist policies that will expand government and raise your taxes.
Scott Houldieson’s values are not Hoosiers Values.
Under Scott Houldieson’s plan for Indiana, government will become too large, too expensive, and too involved in decisions that families should be able to make for themselves:
Raising Taxes and
Increasing Costs
Families already struggle with housing, groceries, health care, and utility costs. Scott Houldieson wants government to solve every problem, leading to higher taxes and more government spending without addressing the underlying cost of those goods and services. Whenever politicians like Scott Houldieson promise something “free,” somebody ultimately pays for it — usually through taxes, borrowing, or higher costs elsewhere.
Penalizing Hard Work
People who work hard should be able to see a meaningful benefit from working harder, earning more, and advancing. Government programs should provide a safety net, but under Scott Houldieson’s plan, government would create a system where working and succeeding are penalized.
Government Takeover
of Health Care
Americans should have access to quality, affordable health care. Scott Houldieson’s plan will give government control over personal medical decisions and limit patients’ choices.
Limiting Personal
Freedoms
A healthy society should encourage people to work, save, own homes, start businesses, and build independent lives. Rather than helping people get back on their feet, Scott Houldieson’s plan would make people permanently dependent on government.
Threatening the
Prosperity We’ve
Worked to Build
A family that spends 30 or 40 years working, saving, and investing should have the confidence that they can keep what they’ve earned and pass something on to their children. Scott Houldieson’s socialist policies will take this away.
Wealth Redistribution
Government should help create an economy where the next generation can earn more, own more, and have better opportunities than the generation before them. The goal shouldn’t simply be to redistribute what exists today, but that is what Scott Houldieson’s socialist agenda would do.
Scott Houldieson believes
government should be the
primary provider, decision
maker, and owner of
people’s economic lives.
Protect the dignity of work, the freedom of personal choice, and the ability of families to build something of their own …
